21. Formal Translation
The matter is not so. For a man from the hill country of Ephraim, named Sheba son of Bichri, has lifted his hand against the king, against David. “Hand him over alone, and I will withdraw from the city.” The woman said to Joab, “Behold, his head will be thrown to you over the wall.”
21. Dynamic Translation
That is not the case. The real issue is that a man named Sheba son of Bichri from the hill country of Ephraim has rebelled against the king, against David. “If you hand over this man alone, I will depart from the city.” The woman told Joab, “Look, his head will be thrown to you over the wall.”
