   and he gave them into the hand of the Gibeonites and they impaled them on the mountain before the LORD and they fell seven times the seven of them together and they and they were put to death in the days of harvest in the first ones or first days beginning of in the beginning of harvest of barleys

Exegesis

The verse opens with the vav-consecutive verb vayyiṯtenem {וַיִּתְּנֵ֞ם | va-yit-te-nēm} ‘and he gave them’, marking sequential narrative action and transfer of authority, followed by the prepositional phrase be-yad haggivʿonim {בְּיַד הַגִּבְעֹנִים | bə-yaḏ ha-gi-ḇʿo-nim} ‘into the hand of the Gibeonites’.
