| 10. Formal Translation And David’s heart struck him after he had counted the people, and David said to the LORD {Yahweh, Sovereign Judge}, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. And now, LORD {Yahweh, Pardoning One}, please let the guilt of Your servant pass away, for I have acted very foolishly.” |
| 10. Dynamic Translation After David took a census of the people, he was deeply troubled within himself. He said to the LORD {Yahweh, Merciful Redeemer}, “I have done a very wrong thing. LORD, I beg You, take away the guilt of Your servant, for I have been extremely foolish.” |
