2 Samuel 3:34:1יָדֶ֣ךָyadekhayour hand
2 Samuel 3:34:2לֹֽא־אֲסֻר֗וֹתloasurotnot bound 2 Samuel 3:34:3וְרַגְלֶ֙יךָ֙veraglekhaand your feet 2 Samuel 3:34:4לֹא־לִנְחֻשְׁתַּ֣יִםlolinkhushettayimnot into bronze fetters 2 Samuel 3:34:5הֻגַּ֔שׁוּhuggashuwere brought near or were put 2 Samuel 3:34:6כִּנְפ֛וֹלkinfolas falling 2 Samuel 3:34:7לִפְנֵ֥יlifnebefore 2 Samuel 3:34:8בְנֵֽי־עַוְלָ֖הveneavehlasons of injustice or wickedness 2 Samuel 3:34:9נָפָ֑לְתָּnafaltayou have fallen 2 Samuel 3:34:10וַיֹּסִ֥פוּvayosifuand they added or continued 2 Samuel 3:34:11כָל־הָעָ֖םkholhaamall the people 2 Samuel 3:34:12לִבְכּ֥וֹתlivkotto weep 2 Samuel 3:34:13עָלָֽיו׃alavover him
34. Formal Translation
Your hands were not bound, and your feet were not placed in bronze fetters; like one who falls before sons of injustice, you fell. And all the people continued to weep over him.
34. Dynamic Translation
Your hands were not tied, and your feet were not put in bronze chains. You fell as one falls before wicked men. Then all the people resumed weeping over him.
