20. Formal Translation
And David came to Baal-Perazim, and he struck them there. Then he said, “The LORD {Yahweh, Divine Victor} has broken out against my enemies before me like the breaking forth of waters.” Therefore he called that place Baal-Perazim.
20. Dynamic Translation
David went to Baal-Perazim and there defeated his enemies. David said, “The LORD {Yahweh, Delivering Champion} burst out against my enemies in front of me like a flood of water.” That is why they named that place Baal-Perazim.
