17. Formal Translation If therefore God {Theos, Sovereign Giver} gave the same gift to them as also to us who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Saving Lord}, who was I to be able to hinder God? |
17. Dynamic Translation So if God gave them the same gift that He gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Anointed King}, who was I to try to stand in God's {Theos, Unstoppable Purpose} way? |
