| 23. Formal Translation Once they had appointed elders for them in every church, they offered prayer and fasting and then handed those leaders over to the Lord {Kyrios, Guardian of Churches} in Whom they had believed. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation After designating elders for each congregation, they devoted themselves to prayer and fasting, then entrusted those leaders to the Lord {Kyrios, Protector of Believers}, the One they had come to trust. |
