Formal Translation But some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him, and some were saying, “What might this babbler wish to say?” but others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign divinities,” because he was proclaiming Jesus {Iesous, Crucified Savior} and the resurrection. |
| 18. Dynamic Translation Some philosophers from the Epicurean and Stoic schools talked with him, and some remarked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others said, “He appears to be announcing foreign gods,” because he was telling them about Jesus {Iesous, Risen Lord} and the resurrection. |
