9. Formal Translation
And there arose a great uproar, and some of the scribes of the party of the Pharisees stood up and were contending, saying, “We find nothing evil in this man; but what if a spirit has spoken to him, or an angel?”
9. Dynamic Translation
Then a loud outcry broke out, and some of the scribes who belonged to the Pharisee party stood up and argued, “We cannot find anything wrong with this man. Perhaps a spirit or even an angel has spoken to him.”
