The fronted accusative phōs {φῶς | phôs} receives emphasis by preceding its verb–infinitive complement, and the dative tō te laō kai tois ethnēsin {τῷ τε λαῷ καὶ τοῖς ἔθνεσιν | tôi te la-ôi kaí toîs éth-ne-sin} uses the correlative te…kai to bind “the people” and “the nations” as joint recipients of the proclamation.
