After it had been decided that we were to sail to Italy, they handed Paul and some other prisoners over to a centurion named Julius of the Augustan Cohort.

Once the plan was set for us to travel by sea to Italy, Paul and several other prisoners were put into the care of a centurion called Julius from the unit known as the Imperial Cohort.
