Exegesis
The assertion ouden enantion epoiēsa tō laō ē tois ethesi tois patrōois {οὐδὲν ἔναντιον ἐποίησα τῷ λαῷ ἢ τοῖς ἔθεσι τοῖς πατρώοις | oudén énantion epoíēsa tôi laō̂ ē toîs éthesi toîs patrṓois} is balanced with two parallel datives (“to the people” and “to the ancestral customs”), presenting a double denial of wrongdoing against both the nation and its traditions.
In context — Acts 28:17
And it happened that, after three days, he called together the chief men of the Jews; and when they had come together, he said to them, "Men, brothers, I have done nothing against the people or the ancestral customs ; yet as a prisoner I was delivered from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans ."
