6. Formal Translation
But God {Theos, Divine Foreteller} spoke in this way, that His seed would be a sojourner in a foreign land, and that they would enslave them and mistreat them for four hundred years.
6. Dynamic Translation
God {Theos, Covenant Planner} said this: His descendants will have to live as outsiders in a land that is not theirs, and others will force them into slavery and treat them badly for four hundred years.
