5. Formal Translation And He {Theos, Sovereign Giver} gave him no inheritance in it, not even a step of a foot; but He promised to give it to him as a possession, and to his seed after him, though he did not have a child. |
5. Dynamic Translation God {Theos, Faithful Promise-Maker} did not give him any inheritance there, not even enough ground to set his foot on; but He promised to give the land to him and to his descendants after him, even though at that time he had no child. |
