8. Formal Translation And He {Theos, Faithful Covenant Lord} gave to him the covenant of circumcision, and so he begat Isaac, and he circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs. |
8. Dynamic Translation God {Theos, Gracious Promise Keeper} gave him the covenant of circumcision, so he became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. Then Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs. |
