21. Formal Translation But all who heard were amazed and were saying, “Is this not the one who laid waste to those who called upon this name in Jerusalem, and who came here for this purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?” |
21. Dynamic Translation Everyone who listened was astonished and asked, “Is this not the man who attacked those in Jerusalem who called upon this name, and did he not come here for that very reason, to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?” |
