Turn From Pride and Follow Jesus

Lord, wake up your Church wherever success has made us proud. Where we have trusted size, influence, or strength, bring us back to humility. Give us hearts that depend on you, not on ourselves, and let every victory become praise to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Humble Again

Begin by naming one success, title, or place of influence. Ask God to reveal any pride, then ask him to keep your heart teachable and your eyes on others' good. Finish by thanking him for every gift that came from him.

Pray Over Success with Humility

Bring to God any boastful thoughts, any need to be admired, and any habit of using success to feel above others. Ask him to forgive you and to reshape your heart.

Confessing Pride After a Win

Father, when I gain ground or receive praise, keep me from exalting myself. Let my heart stay soft, my hands stay serving, and my strength stay dependent on you. Keep me from harming others with my success, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Guard My Heart From Self-Exaltation

Pray for leaders, talented people, and anyone who now has influence: that they would not trust numbers, applause, or power; that their hearts would remain humble; and that the good they do would outlast the pride that can undo it.

For People with Power and Influence
