A place where he can rebuild from nothing

Hold your plans loosely and ask for wiser guidance

Tighten your grip and insist on the same course

Pretend nothing has changed and keep moving

Treat every setback as a reason to abandon all effort

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and depended on my own strength and security. I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. When my footing fails, hold me fast in your grace and lead me into your life. Amen.

A Savior When Security Fails

Lord, revive your Church where we have trusted our own fortresses. Make us humble when our plans look strong, ready to repent when they fail, and steadfast in faith when earthly security gives way. Teach us to depend on you alone, and let our witness be marked by courage and compassion, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Us from False Security

Pray by naming one place where you rely on control, reputation, money, or strength. Ask God to show you where that support is fragile, to give you wisdom for the next step, and to help you release fear as you move forward.

Pray Through a Shaking Plan

Father, when my footing fails and I feel the ground give way, steady me. Calm my fear, guard me from panic, and teach me to trust your care when what I leaned on can no longer hold me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace When the Ground Gives Way

Bring these to God: your habit of leaning on outward strength, any pride that says you can stand alone, and the places where you need to surrender control. Ask him for a humble heart that turns back to him quickly.

Laying Down False Fortresses

Pray for people whose plans are unraveling, for leaders who trust power more than wisdom, and for anyone who feels hard to find in a season of loss. Ask God to give them steadiness, clarity, and help.
