If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and followed voices that pull me away from what is right. I cannot make myself strong enough or clean enough on my own. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to know God truly, to stand firm, and to live in faithfulness. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Makes Me Stand Firm

Lord, revive your Church so we are not easily moved by flattering words or easy promises. Deepen our knowledge of you, strengthen our hearts, and make us a people who stand firm and do what is right. Wake us from compromise and send us out in faithful action, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Steadfast

Father, when persuasive words try to pull me off your path, give me clear eyes and a steady heart. Keep me from compromise, root me more deeply in knowing you, and help me choose the right way even when it is costly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Guard Me from Smooth Lies

Name one place where you feel pulled by a flattering shortcut. Ask God to show you what is true, what is faithful, and what you should do next. Then pray for the courage to act on what he shows you.

Pray Over One Pressure Point

Pray for people who are being enticed by easy words and quick gains: that God would expose deception, strengthen their resolve, and give them the grace to keep covenant faithfulness. Pray also that your own life would point them toward truth.

For Those Under Pressure to Compromise

Thank God for making himself known, for giving strength to the weak, and for helping his people do more than merely agree in theory. Give thanks that faith in him can become steady action.

Thanks for Strength That Comes from Knowing You
