15. Formal Translation He answered and said to Arioch, the captain of the king, “Why is the decree so urgent from before the king?” Then Arioch made the matter known to Daniel. |
15. Dynamic Translation He replied to Arioch, the king’s chief officer, “Why has the king made this command so urgent {mehachtsefa: pressing, severe}?” Then Arioch explained the situation to Daniel. |
