5. Formal Translation The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, “The word from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be made into pieces, and your houses shall be set as a dunghill.” |
5. Dynamic Translation The king replied to the Chaldeans, “My decision is final: if you do not tell me the dream and its meaning, you will be cut to pieces, and your houses will be made into a refuse heap.” |
