Lord, you raised Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in Babylon. Raise up your Church with humility, courage, and steady faithfulness in every place you appoint. Keep us from chasing status, and make us wise stewards of every door you open, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, if you lift me up, keep me humble. Help me use any higher place, influence, or responsibility you give me to serve others well and honor you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming the role, school, job, or responsibility where God has placed you. Ask him for humility, wisdom, and faithfulness there, and ask what good he wants you to do in that setting.

Pray About the Place He Gives You

Pray for believers who serve in government, business, education, and other public places. Ask God to give them integrity, courage, and clear witness when he puts them in positions of influence.
