Bow low because everyone else is doing it

Do it outwardly but keep your heart divided

Refuse the act and keep worship for God alone

Wait until the pressure becomes easier before deciding

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have bowed to false things and sinned against you. I need your mercy and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from every idol and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Lead me to worship the true God alone. Amen.

Turn From False Worship

Lord, revive your church where we have learned to bow too quickly to pressure. Break every idol of approval, power, and fear among us. Give us courage to worship you alone, to stand when others kneel to what is empty, and to shine with steadfast obedience in this generation, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Us from Compromise

Bring these to God: every place where you have treated human approval, success, or fear as if it were worthy of your loyalty; any time you have bowed inwardly even while pretending not to; and a fresh desire for single-hearted worship of the Lord.

Lay Down the False Images

Begin by naming the pressure that is calling for your attention. Ask God for a clear conscience and the courage to obey him first. Then ask for one simple act of faithfulness you can choose today.

Pray When the Signal Feels Loud

Thank God that no king, crowd, or crafted image deserves the worship that belongs to him alone. Give thanks that he is greater than every thing humans set up, and that he can steady your heart when pressure rises.

You Alone Are Worthy

Lord, I lift up believers who are being pushed to compromise at work, school, or home. Give them wisdom, courage, and peace to honor you when the cost is real. Keep them from fear of people and make them faithful when the signal comes, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength for Those Under Pressure
