If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have lived as if my own strength and success were enough, and I confess that I have sinned. I turn from my sin and from ruling my own life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to lead me in your grace and truth. Thank you for receiving me. Amen.

Yielding My Life to You

Lord, revive your Church where we have prized power, size, and influence more than faithfulness to you. Break pride in us, teach us to steward every gift with humility, and let our lives show that all greatness belongs to you alone. Wake us up to serve well and to trust your rule above every human rule, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Humble and Faithful

Father, thank you that no human authority is ultimate and that every ruler and every achievement stands under your hand. Thank you for reminding me that growth and strength are gifts to receive with gratitude. Help me honor you with a humble heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Grateful for Your Greater Rule

Pray by naming one area where your influence has been growing, then ask God to keep your heart teachable there. Ask him to show you one concrete way to serve others instead of seeking your own greatness.

Pray Over Growing Influence

Pray for kings, officials, pastors, parents, teachers, and anyone with authority: that they would remember their power is for service, not self-exaltation; that they would govern with wisdom and restraint; and that God would guard them from pride as their reach expands.

Guard Those With Authority

Bring these before God: any place where success has made you proud; gratitude for what has grown in your life; a willingness to use influence quietly and well; and a desire for your character to stay smaller than your gifts.
