If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have tried to rule my own life, and I need your mercy. I admit my sin and turn from it. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead me under your rightful rule. Forgive me, make me new, and save me. Amen.

Surrender to the True King

Lord, revive your Church to live under your authority instead of chasing its own control. Where we have trusted status, power, or fear, humble us again. Make us a people who honor your reign, listen for your voice, and rest in your rule, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church Under Your Rule

Father, thank you that my security does not rest on shifting power or on my ability to hold everything together. Thank you that when I recognize your rule, you can keep what is entrusted to you. Teach my heart to rest in your faithful authority, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one decision or worry where you are tempted to grasp control. Ask God to show you his rule there, and then surrender that one thing to him, trusting him to make the next step clear.

Pray for: rulers, managers, parents, and pastors to remember that all authority is under God's authority; courage to lead with humility; a willingness to bow before what is right rather than protecting power.

For Leaders Who Need Humility

Lord, when I feel anxious about my future, teach me to rest beneath your rule. Free me from the need to secure myself, and give me a humble heart that trusts your timing and your care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
