Lord, stir your Church with the kind of urgency this verse shows. Where we have become passive, troubled only in words, wake us to act with compassion, courage, and perseverance for those in danger. Make us a people who do not stop at concern but keep laboring for another's good, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your People to Rescue

Father, when someone I love is under pressure and I feel helpless, steady my heart. Give me the courage to stay engaged, to pray, and to do what I can until help comes, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength When Help Takes Time

Pray by naming one person who needs your steady help, asking God for a compassionate heart, and choosing one concrete act you can do before today ends.

Pray Through One Rescue Need

Lord, give leaders, parents, teachers, and caregivers a heart that does not grow cold when others are at risk. Let them respond with wisdom, speed, and persistence, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Leaders Who Act for Others

Bring these before God: the tendency to feel deeply but act slowly; reluctance to sacrifice time for someone's good; one person you want to serve well; and a request for courage to keep showing up.
