Hold rulers in perspective and keep your deepest trust with God

Treat the strongest empire as the safest place to put your hope

Assume all political power is evil and ignore it completely

Wait until public power disappears before making any moral choices

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and trusted human power more than you. I need your mercy and your rule in my life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and follow you. Be my Lord and my Savior, and lead me into your kingdom that will never fail. Amen.

Lord Over Every Kingdom

Lord, revive your Church to see that every earthly kingdom is only a shadow before you. Pull us out of fear, out of compromise, and out of our love for power. Give us faith to honor what is due, trust you above all, and live as people who belong to a greater kingdom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Your Rule

Father, thank you that no empire is bigger than your hand. Thank you that you show the limits of human power and remind us that history is not random. Help me rest in your rule and worship you with a calm heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Holding History

Name the leader, system, or news story that feels heavy. Ask God to place it in its proper place, to give you clear eyes, and to show you one faithful next step instead of fear.

Pray When Power Feels Overwhelming

Pray for rulers, governments, and nations to be humbled before God. Ask for justice, honesty, restraint, and peace, so that power would serve what is right rather than feed pride.

For Leaders and Nations

Father, keep me from fear when powerful people rise and from pride when they seem to agree with me. Teach me to respect authority without making it my hope, and to trust you above every kingdom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
