Respect it, but keep your deepest trust and awe with God rather than in human power.

Treat the strongest leader as the safest place for your hope.

Assume human power is meaningless and never pay attention to it.

Use the verse mainly to predict which modern nation will rise next.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and trusted human strength more than you. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Reign over my life as the true King. Amen.

Jesus, My True King

Lord, revive your Church so we do not bow to status, influence, or fear of human power. Give us clear eyes, humble hearts, and steady trust in Christ above every earthly ruler. Make us faithful witnesses in a shifting world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to Honor the True King

Give thanks for God's clear sight over history; give thanks that strong kingdoms are not ultimate; give thanks for wisdom to see rulers and systems as limited.

Thank You for Clear Sight

Before you pray, name one leader, nation, or system that feels overwhelming. Ask God to help you see it clearly, to keep your trust anchored in him, and to give you one humble next step.

Pray for leaders who need humility; for nations tempted to trust power more than righteousness; for Christians to speak with courage and restraint; for justice to outweigh pride.

Leaders Under God

Lord, forgive me for being dazzled by impressive people and anxious about worldly power. Turn my heart from false security and teach me to trust you above every human strength. Give me humility, discernment, and peace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
