30. Formal Translation
Guard yourself, lest you become ensnared after them and after their destruction from before you, and lest you inquire about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I too will do likewise.”
30. Dynamic Translation
Be careful so that you do not get trapped by following them once they have been wiped out before you. Do not inquire about their gods, saying, “How do these nations worship their gods? I want to do the same.”
