| 12. Formal Translation If your brother the Hebrew man or the Hebrew woman is sold to you, he shall serve you six years, and in the seventh year you shall send him away free from you. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation If a fellow Hebrew—man or woman—is sold to you, he shall serve you six years; but in the seventh year you must let him go free from you. |
