| 11. Formal Translation For the poor will never cease from the midst of the land; therefore I command you to open your hand to your brother, to the poor, and to the needy in your land. |
| 11. Dynamic Translation There will always be poor people in your land, so I am telling you to be openhanded toward your brother, to the poor, and to the needy in your land. |
