Deuteronomy 19:10:1וְלֹ֤אveloso that not
Deuteronomy 19:10:2יִשָּׁפֵךְ֙yishafekhinnocent blood be shed Deuteronomy 19:10:3דָּ֣םdamblood Deuteronomy 19:10:4נָקִ֔יnakiinnocent Deuteronomy 19:10:5בְּקֶ֣רֶבbekerevin the midst of Deuteronomy 19:10:6אַרְצְךָ֔artsekhayour land Deuteronomy 19:10:7אֲשֶׁר֙asherwhich Deuteronomy 19:10:8יְהוָ֣הyahwehLORD Deuteronomy 19:10:9אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָelohekhayour God Deuteronomy 19:10:10נֹתֵ֥ןnotenis giving Deuteronomy 19:10:11לְךָ֖lekhato you Deuteronomy 19:10:12נַחֲלָ֑הnahalaas an inheritance Deuteronomy 19:10:13וְהָיָ֥הvehayaand there be Deuteronomy 19:10:14עָלֶ֖יךָalekhaupon you Deuteronomy 19:10:15דָּמִֽים׃סdamimbloodguilt
10. Formal Translation
And let not innocent blood be shed in the midst of your land which the LORD your God {Yahweh Elohekha, Covenant Protector} is giving you as an inheritance, so that there will not be bloodguilt upon you.
10. Dynamic Translation
Make sure no innocent person’s blood is spilled in your land—the land the LORD your God {Yahweh Elohekha, Your Lifelong Defender} is giving you as your inheritance. Otherwise, you would be held guilty for bloodshed.
