| 10. Formal Translation And let not innocent blood be shed in the midst of your land which the LORD your God {Yahweh Elohekha, Covenant Protector} is giving you as an inheritance, so that there will not be bloodguilt upon you. |
| 10. Dynamic Translation Make sure no innocent person’s blood is spilled in your land—the land the LORD your God {Yahweh Elohekha, Your Lifelong Defender} is giving you as your inheritance. Otherwise, you would be held guilty for bloodshed. |
