Exegesis

The Nifal perfect in ve-nidd’cha {וְנִדְּחָ֨ה | wə·nid·ḏā·hā} ‘and is thrust’ describes the unintentional motion of yado {יָד֤וֹ | yā·ḏō} ‘his hand’, leading to another infinitive, lichrot {לִכְרֹ֣ת | liḵ·rōṯ} ‘to fell’ the tree.
