| 5. Formal Translation And when a man goes with his neighbor into the forest to chop wood, and his hand swings the axe to fell the tree, and the iron slips off the tree and strikes his neighbor so that he dies, he shall flee to one of these cities and live. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation If someone goes into the woods with a friend to cut wood and as his hand swings the axe to fell a tree, the head slips off, hits his friend, and kills him, that person must flee to one of these cities and stay alive. |
