14. Formal Translation And the days which we walked from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed the Zered wadi were thirty-eight years, until the end of all the generation of the men of war from the midst of the camp, just as the LORD {Yahweh, Oath Keeper} had sworn to them. |
14. Dynamic Translation It took thirty-eight years from the time we left Kadesh Barnea until we crossed the Zered creek, by which time the whole generation of fighting men had disappeared from the camp, just as the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Promiser} had sworn to them. |
