36. Formal Translation From Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Valley and the city in the valley up to Gilead, there was not a city too strong for us; the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Covenant Warrior} gave us all. |
36. Dynamic Translation From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, including the town in the valley and all the way to Gilead, no city was too strong for us. The LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Victorious Defender} handed every one to us. |
