37. Formal Translation Only to the land of the sons of Ammon did you not approach, every hand of the valley of the Jabbok and the towns of the hill country, and everything that the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Covenant Protector} had forbidden us. |
37. Dynamic Translation You did not come near the land of the Ammonites, nor to any region along the Jabbok stream, nor to the towns in the hills, nor to any place that the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Protective God} had told us not to enter. |
