Deuteronomy 2:4:1וְאֶת־הָעָם֮veethaamAnd {you shall} the people
Deuteronomy 2:4:2צַ֣וtsavcommand Deuteronomy 2:4:3לֵאמֹר֒lemorsaying Deuteronomy 2:4:4אַתֶּ֣םatemYou {pl.} Deuteronomy 2:4:5עֹֽבְרִ֗יםovrimare passing through Deuteronomy 2:4:6בִּגְבוּל֙bigvulthrough {the} territory Deuteronomy 2:4:7אֲחֵיכֶ֣םakheikhemof your brothers Deuteronomy 2:4:8בְּנֵי־עֵשָׂ֔וbeneiesavthe sons of Esau Deuteronomy 2:4:9הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhayoshvimwho live Deuteronomy 2:4:10בְּשֵׂעִ֑ירbesairin Seir Deuteronomy 2:4:11וְיִֽירְא֣וּveyirauand they will fear Deuteronomy 2:4:12מִכֶּ֔םmikhemfrom you Deuteronomy 2:4:13וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םvenishmartemso keep yourselves Deuteronomy 2:4:14מְאֹֽד׃meodvery {carefully}
4. Formal Translation
And command the people, saying, “You are passing through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you, so be very careful.”
4. Dynamic Translation
Instruct the people: “You are about to pass through the land belonging to your relatives—the children of Esau who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so guard yourselves closely.”
