| 5. Formal Translation But the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Covenant Protector} was not willing to listen to Balaam, and he turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loved you. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation However, the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Faithful Defender} refused to listen to Balaam and changed the curse against you into a blessing, for the LORD your God loved you. |
