12. Formal Translation Then the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} said to me, “Get up and go down quickly from here, for your people whom you brought out from Egypt have corrupted themselves; they have quickly turned aside from the way I commanded them—they have made a molten image for themselves.” |
12. Dynamic Translation Then the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Authority} told me, “Get up and go down right away, for your people—the ones you led out of Egypt—have acted corruptly. They have quickly left the path I instructed them to follow, and they have made an idol for themselves.” |
