5. Formal Translation
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; and there is no longer any reward {sakhar: wages, recompense} for them, for their memory {zikram: remembrance, ongoing legacy} is forgotten.
5. Dynamic Translation
Those who are alive know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; there is nothing left for them to gain, since even their memory has faded away.
