Esther 10TAB

1 And King Ahasuerus {Achashverosh: Persian Monarch} placed tribute {mas: territorial levy} upon the land and on the islands of the sea.

2 And all the acts {ma’aseh: royal deeds} of his strength and his might, and the full record of Mordecai’s greatness, which the king caused to increase, are they not written in the book of the chronicles {divrei ha-yamim: royal annals} of the kings of Media and Persia?

3 For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus and was great among the Jews and approved by the majority of his brothers, seeking the good {tov: welfare} of his people and speaking peace {shalom: comprehensive well-being} to all his people.
