Esther 4:1:1וּמָרְדֳּכַ֗יumardokhaiand Mordecai

1. Formal Translation
When Mordecai became aware of all that had transpired, he tore his garments, put on sackcloth and ashes, went out into the heart of the city, and let out a loud, bitter cry.
1. Dynamic Translation
After Mordecai learned what had happened, he ripped his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth and ashes, emerged into the streets of the city, and gave a piercing wail.
