2. Formal Translation He went as far as the entrance of the king’s gate, because no one was allowed to enter the king’s gate while wearing sackcloth. |
2. Dynamic Translation He approached the opening of the royal gate, since anyone dressed in sackcloth was not permitted to go inside. |
