14. Formal Translation Zeresh, his wife, and all his friends said to him, “Let a pole be constructed fifty cubits high, and in the morning speak to the king that Mordechai should be hanged on it. Then go with the king to the banquet, rejoicing.” The plan pleased Haman, and he had the pole constructed. |
14. Dynamic Translation His wife Zeresh and all his friends told him, “Have a pole built fifty cubits high, and in the morning ask the king to hang Mordechai on it. Then go with the king to the feast and enjoy yourself.” Haman appreciated the suggestion and had the pole built. |
