3. Formal Translation Moses said to the people, “Remember this day—the day you came out from Egypt, from the house of slaves—for by a strong hand the LORD {Yahweh, Redeeming Sovereign} brought you out from here; therefore you must not eat any leaven.” |
3. Dynamic Translation Moses told the people, “Hold on to the memory of this day, when you left Egypt, the place of slavery. The LORD {Yahweh, Mighty Liberator} brought you out with a powerful hand; so you are not to eat any leaven.” |
