The noun hadavar {הַדָּבָר | ha-dāvar} is modified by the relative clause asher dibbārnû ʾēleḵā be-miṭsrāyim lēʾemor {אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְנוּ אֵלֶיךָ בְּמִצְרַיִם לֵאמֹר}, “that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying.”
