The conjunction lemaʿan {לְמַעַן | lə-ma-ʿan} ‘so that’ introduces the purpose clause yirʾu {יִרְאוּ | yir-ʾū} ‘they may see’ with et-halechem {אֶת־הַלֶּחֶם | ʾet-ha-lle-ḥem} ‘the bread’.
