| 13. Formal Translation No hand is to touch him, for he shall surely be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live. When the ram’s horn sounds long, then they may go up the mountain. |
| 13. Dynamic Translation No one may lay a hand on him; he must be killed by stoning or shot, whether animal or person—he must not be allowed to live. But when the ram’s horn sounds a long blast, only then may they go up the mountain. |
