23. Formal Translation After many days the king of Egypt died. The sons of Israel groaned under the labor and cried out, and their cry for help rose up to God {haElohim, Covenant Hearer} from the labor. |
23. Dynamic Translation During that long period the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned because of their slavery and cried out, and their cry reached God {haElohim, Deliverer}. |
